Hope you all enjoyed the first weekend of spring! As we leave winter behind us, some may be experiencing an urge to “spring into action” and perhaps find a new love. Not surprising. Studies have shown that many animals hibernating during the winter awaken to mate come the spring season. After several months of a cold winter, we as humans may feel that certain something – the desire to share this season of rebirth with that certain someone. But how do you prepare yourself to enjoy the experience of finding your mate or companion? Here are 3 simple ways to put the S in a “Sexier Spring!”
1) ExerciSe: Create a workout plan that you can commit to weekly. My favorite choice? The SeXercise DVD, of course! Another easy solution is keeping a jump rope in your purse or car. Then after work, pull over on the drive home at a convenient place such as your local park and skip your way to better health. Start off with five minutes, then work your way up to a longer duration. You will be amazed at how much sexier you feel when you just put some movement back in your body.
2) Snack: For all those who swing by a drive-thru for high-fat, calorie-laden fast food in between meetings, I have this to say, “DON’T!” Get some unsalted raw crunchy nuts and a few naturally-sweetened granola bars. Having a stash of these items on hand can help dispel the urge for that unhealthy meal. Don’t eat that greasy double cheeseburger that has over 700 calories of which 360 are fat. Instead, reach for your hidden treasure of healthy snacks in your desk or purse.
3) Sizzle: Put the “Sizzle” back in your jiggle by putting on something that makes you feel empowered. You know those little red patent leather shoes with the high heel or those favorite form-fitting jeans that give you the confidence to wiggle and flaunt it. For guys, head to the barber for a great haircut and a straight-edge blade shave, then buy yourself a new crisp button-down shirt. Remember, it is all about your attitude and confidence when it comes to being alluring to the opposite sex.
Here’s to your healthy and happy spring season!
